Class Mosaics from 7/12 and 7/16

This summer has been a lot busier than I had planned.  Oh well, that’s just the way it is sometimes.  I have two different class mosaics to share.  The first one is from The Crafty Scrapper on July 12.  All eight students created beautiful artwork:

Yesterday, I got to share Zentangle with 13 youth ranging in ages from 10 – 17 at the Bedford Public Library.  They were awesome!  We were talking a lot during the class and we started to stray from our topic.  I set the timer for 2 minutes of no talking, so we could really focus on what we were doing.  The timer went off….but no one started talking.  They were all so engrossed in their artwork!  I was so very proud of every one of them!  They were really creative at taking a pattern and personalizing it.  Here is some of their artwork:

Life Imitates Art…?

“Life imitates art” is an oft used quote.  However, I think I need to modify it to “Life interrupts art.”   May was always busy when the boys were in school, and I thought it would be better after they all graduated.  Not this year!  Thank goodness I have Zentangle to help me wind down at the end of the day!  I did get to do one class this month – at the Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie.

I spent Saturday morning before Mother’s Day with a great group of eight ladies.  They all created beautiful works of art, and learned a little more about relaxation.  Here’s the mosaic of their first tiles:

They are all so talented and did such detailed work!  I hope to see them all at another class soon!

Class at Bedford Public Library 5/1

I have the opportunity to teach a Zentangle 101 class at the Bedford Library on Thursday, May 1, from 10:30 to 12:30.  But I need at least 8 prepaid reservations.  Cost is $35.00 and includes all supplies needed.  If you are interested, click on the calendar to register through PayPal, or email me for other options    zentrish@outlook.com

Please share with everyone!  Thanks!

Fun at the Crafty Scrapper!

Oh Wow!  On Saturday, 28 more people found out about (and I believe most are now addicted to) the wonderful world of Zentangle.  That was just the best day this year for me!

I truly, truly regret all the technical difficulties I had, and so appreciate everyone’s patience.  Next time still may not be perfect, but it will be a LOT better than Saturday was.  I tested the setup before I brought it, but I guess I didn’t test long enough!

On to the good stuff – here is a picture of our very first class on Saturday morning.  My pictures of the class tiles mosaic didn’t turn out sharp enough to post, so I’m hoping someone from the first class reads this and will share any photos they took.   This credit goes to Carolyn Ross, owner of  The Crafty Scrapper .

Morning Class

I don’t have pictures of the students from the afternoon class, but I have pictures of their work.  And this group included four youth who did a wonderful job with each of their tangles.

I always learn so much from my students, and that was certainly the case on Saturday.

Thank you to all who came out Saturday and I can’t wait for the next one!
