1st Annual Texas CZT Retreat – Part 1

I was one of the lucky few to attend our first ever retreat just for Texas CZT’s in Rockport (close to Corpus Christi) October 7 – 9, 2016.  Terri Young did a fabulous job of putting it together!  Thirteen CZTs gathered from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning and tangled, laughed, ate great food, learned some new skills, and generally refreshed our artistic souls.  We have already planned our next one, but I have to say it will be hard to improve on this one.

Working on Leather Journal Covers

Friday afternoon started with my class about tangling on leather.  We made a leather journal to hold our favorite tiles.  They were surprised at how easy it is and how much fun it is to work with the leather.

And then, once it was stained, I think they were all proud of their efforts.
